So this isn't really about bike buying but selling. I fell in love with a Bob Jackson and go it at an estate sale type thing for a steal! I've researched it now, and love it more but ALAS it is for a 6'2'' man and I am a 5'8" woman. Its from the 1980's prob early, in good condition but not perfect. I need to sell it but I'm must be to someone who will fit, and respect it for the great bike that it is. Also I have no idea how to price it. Any suggestions? Bob Jackson frames don't have the demand that they probably should ... FWIW. Most of the components appear to be rather average -- it's hard to be sure based on the pictures you included -- Weinmann brake levers & calipers, probably SunTour derailleurs & crankset ... possibly a Campagnolo seatpost + pedals & shift levers which were probably carried over from a previous frameset, unknown handlebars & stem, unknown wheelset ... Allowing that the frame has a minimum value of $200+ (easily, $400+ for the right buyer), I reckon that the bike should have a value of between $350-to-$400 ... That is, if the seat post & pedals are Campagnolo, then they are probably worth as much as the rest of the components on the bike. |

I am 6'2". Depending on where you live/shipping costs, I may be interested in buying the frame from you then you can swap all the parts onto the proper size frame. thanks |

Rick 81 - I already checked out shipping and it actually isn't bad. I would totally be interested in selling the frame. Give me a call and I can tell you more about it. xxx-xxx-xxxx.
