Who the hell is the team at Lazer who designed those things? I would rather wear a normal helmet (which it looks like they did during the TTT) They must have gotten laughed at all the way back to their hotel after the prologue! Did anyone ever see the movie Space Balls? Robbie McEwan looked like Darth Helmet in that ridiculously oversized helmets. Those helmets are so big they should be illegal. Actually, that could be the start to some funny jokes. You know like the "Your mom is so fat..." jokes. Yes I know it is juvenile but play along for fun anyway! I'll start: Those helmets are so big they caused a tidal wave off the coast of California. Har har har. I crack myself up!

Well, I guess you better inform Paolo Bettini that he looks like a dork too. ![]() Before you start ripping the whiz bangs at Lazer, let's look at the results so far. Best young rider - Vladimir Karpets, Illes Balears - Banesto wears a lazer blade helmet Points classification - Robbie McEwen, Lotto - Domo wears a lazer blade helmet Mountains classification - Paolo Bettini, Quick Step - Davitamon wears a lazer blade helmet Of course, we can't expect the greater minds at Lazer to get it right all the time. Give them a little bit of rope, they'll figure out that time trial helmet thingy yet. |

You aren't the only one who saw the resemblance between them and Darth Helmet. When I first saw them in those helmets it's the first thing I pictured in my mind. Hard to believe that was the most aero thing they could dream up. I would think those things would be hot in a 40k TT with your ears all covered up like that. Kind of like a motorcycle helmet with a tail on the back. |

Hmmm, that's not as ghastly as I was expecting it to be. Not all that great though. |
