Default First week as a courier

Rah Rah Rah,

Completed the first week of being a cycle courier an I iz feelin good! []

Oxford circus is the trippiest place I have ever cycled, solid blocks of red bus with narrow quick closing cracks to nip into while using third eye to intuit whether a pedestrian is also considering braving the same gap the other side...

The deliveries were slick an got easier as week went on, seems like every street on pickup woz not in the A-Z, or only half there half merged wit another. Got over this however by discovering that there is an underground elite of Londoners who know the exact location of every street, business and grain of dust in London, fruit seller nex 2 Bond Str st 4 example,

Dunno how many times I left my shiny new specialized sirrus locked wit my new armour plated weigh a tonne lock outside a building while the key woz left poking out the front, full face oda public... God only knows how I still got it,

Haven't come off yet which is summat i guess, promised my little sister that my big clumpy helmet would be used for the first week, as to the next week I am undecided, seems heavy an a drag but perhaps a necessary piece of hardware...?

Followin on from this I jus wana pay sum respect to the other couriers out there all of whom I met were proper geezas and helpful to boot,

I got some questions too - some of the cyclists I saw were doing a little hop to get onto and offa the pavement when there is a curb, how do you do this? get both wheels to jump up in unison over a few centemetres high? whenever I do it just the front wheel goes up...

Know any good ideas for stash places for pack lunch in the city? Put my beautifully crafted potato salad with olives in a hidden gap by a building - it lasted 2 hours!! I woz devastated...

Ooooooh an btw if u fancy a party an a half wit bonfires eclectic mish mash of dj an live dance rooms with an upstairs healing chill come to the 491 gallery on the 18th of Sep, you won't be disapointed...

Big love.Tribal []
