Judith Arndt - Olympics

I have two questions concerning Judith Arndt. The first is that I heard she was fined for a "rude gesture" what was this? And second, just after she was overtaken on the finish of the Olympic road race she appeared to throw something on the ground from her bike, it wasn't a bottle though - does anyone know what it was?
Just out of interest.

I believe the rude gesture was giving her home countries olympic judges the finger because they didn't take her lesbian lover on the olympic team. I think she was fined $162.00. As for the throwing something off her bike I have no idea.
