Default Americans....Have you ever wanted to Leave?

Based upon the direction of the USA and the myriad of interesting places to live would you consider moving abroad? Which place is most appealing?

Not sure what you mean about direction but, no I have a great life and would like to travel more abroad but could not imagine living anywhere else.

I live in a beautiful region think independently and realize my life generally gets better each year.
Would like to do Europe on a bike someday.

Not only no but %&$# no. There are too many conveniences we take for granted in the U.S. and I personally like taking things for granted. As beautiful of a place it is, Canada isn't even worth considering because they tax the crap out of you.

Especially the beer tax- if they tax beer here I'm buying a gun and starting a Militia!
The $0.60 per gallon of gas hasn't gotten me there yet

Beer Tax?!?!?! My God, that's just plain cruel!

BTW - buy the gun anyway - go target shooting with a friend. It's great fun. Besides, you never know when those Canadian hordes will cross the border to take our lesser-taxed beer!

Spent time in France under the socialists and in Spain under the facists. And as much as would like to revisit some of the places of my youth, I wouldn't want to move there. I've got my eye set on a boat in the Chesapeake and the life of a cycling mystery writer.

Yes, I've considered moving. My girlfriend lives in Canada with her family, and it's a really nice place. I'd be closer to my relatives in Upstate NY, and I'd be closer to good skiing. I've compared my pay stubs to my gf's, and our taxes aren't much different. It's just that I pay for a lot of things (health care, etc) that she gets included.

My area is a bit hostile to cyclists, and while I'm not sure how Canada would be, I'm sure it couldn't be any worse. Lots of really great resturaunts up there too, and the candy bars are better.

Yes I have thought about leaving this country either to Euskal Herria (Basque Country) or Canada. I want all my friends outside of the USA that I tried my best to defeat this take over of America by the Bush administration. Here in Oregon we voted for a Kerry we do care what other citizens of the world feel. The USA needs to learn to live in the world not dominate it.

I live in Canada (Ontario).
I am taxed too much. Plain and simple.

Anyway, don't come here because everyone in Canada hates Americans, or so everyone keeps telling me.

Personally, I like Americans. They have a unique sense of personal freedom and I find it very refreshing.

blah, blah, blah,
The libs are all talk and no action.
They promise to leave if they don't get their way, and then they continue to infest America.

Yes- your right, the ineducable masses have chosen their leader. Thanks to the polling places in Wal-Mart and Fellowship Halls across the country, we now have a moral visionary at our helm...
God told him (in his fourties) to put down the little silver spoon and the Highball glass and rule the world!!!! Away we go for round 2.
I for one will salute the flag with tears of joy now that such a strong moral figure (hiccup), such a brave leader (have you seen the tape of the goat story on 911???) has been chosen.
And his revolutionary stand on spending money hand over fist and then telling us all we won't have raises in our taxes...surely such a magical being must **** money as well (or god hands it to him from the heavens). And that volunteer army he plans to sustain, why just today I saw droves of young adults waiting in lines to sign up!
Yes- I want to leave so I can go to Iraq and fight for a cause that is so heavily supported in...Uzbekistan....and Iceland...and maybe Samoa. I know I could find those weapons of mass destruction and set the record straight. It certainly makes me feel safer at night- I talked to my neighbor Osama and he is happy about the outcome of the election too.
The only thing infesting America is people who think religion and government should be tandem, Iraq and 911 are related, that running Osama out of Afganistan means we DIDN"T let him back in, and that Wal-Mart is a great place to shop. ****- a thousand more fools born every ******* minute.
Sorry if I seem a little cross- the stifling tax burden I am about to recieve is more then a little irritating

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by, "Based upon the direction of the USA". But to answer your question, I would NEVER consider living anywhere else, no matter how interesting it may be. Is there a more interesting place to live? If so, lets here it. I'm very proud to be an American and I'm very tired of all the liberal/socialist talk. And that's all it is, just talk.
