Question Bike Racks and Rental Cars??

Hi all,

I'm traveling again in a few weeks and I seriously considering taking my Bike with me. Does anybody know of a (major) rental car company where you can also rent a bike rack? I've got a Yakima Mighty Joe that I could slip on the trunk, but would run it to luggage issues (too many bags.) Any ideas from you folks that cart your bikes around with you on Vacation? If all of this works out I should be able to ride up Beech Mtn in Banner Elk, NC. It was the finish for a couple of the stages from the defunct Tour Dupont.

I can't really justify it at more than 2x the cost. It would be cheaper (in rental fees and gas) to just rent a bike for the week. I've got some leads going (friends with bike racks)
