No, honestly, not trying to make enemies with that one. It wasn't meant as a "haha" anyway - so I'm glad you didn't take it tht way. I was ACTUALLY reminded of that movie, which has multiple scenes that follow such a formula.

I apologize if that came accross as a "lame" attempt at humor.

Don't come off as being the police here Tony - you won't make any friends.

By the way - what "true intent" do you believe I had? I meant no malcontent, and literally was reminded of a film... You took this as an attack, despite no knowledge of my personal background or intentions in the remark. If you can't respect an honest observation without feeling the need to become defensive, well... Good luck out there. Chill and understand I'm just expressing a thought I had. Again, my apologies if it was offensive to you. Hugz man, hugz

Tony, I'll repeat something that others have told you - Chill out. It seems I'm not the only one to butt heads with your pedantic attitude.

I'm glad you have faith, but I am bothered that you are arrogant enough to assume the positions of others on this forum, as made apparent in your last comment to me. We aren't attacking you - so why do you choose to react in such a way?

Luck or faith... who cares? They're probably different interpretations of similar phenomena. To each their own, man. If it works for you, then fine, be happy and let others experience the world in their own way. Who's to say which is "right?"

I wouldn't be so presumptuous about others on this forum. I would wager that many just choose to keep their traps shut (probably wise on their part) regarding their beliefs. Please stop your proselytising. Let's get back to riding bikes, and stop this religious-branded clothing flame war.

Thanks for your input, see you in the forums.

Thanks - I'll take all the luck I can get.

Though, that's an awfully condescending tone for somebody who has "found their way." Nonetheless, good wishes are good wishes.

I will always remain open to spiritual paths, but it's interactions with zealots like you that continually bring me to question all of it.

I'll continue to banter with you if you like, just understand that based on what you have said, you're digging a bit of a hole for your cause. Your statement in the last post was downright nasty, and not at all representative of the attitudes of many of my close friends who hold religious views, nor the vast majority of others who do. Maybe that's just my experience... Maybe negativity and nasty commentary is the way you share your spirituality with non-believers. Good luck with that.

Back to the topic - I was thinking about the whole jersey debate, and it gave me an idea. What if we were to sell ad space on our jerseys? It seems like the same idea. Sort of like sponsor logos on team kits, but something that you could present to a local charity, church, or business as a means for marketing their product/service. Life as a riding billboard, that just might pay.

Would you get defensive?
As long as they were respectful, I would have problem conversing with an Atheist. No problem riding with them either. And, no I would not be embarassed to be seeen riding with them!

Jeez This thread is active again? It seems to be the same stuff as when I was in it more than 3 years ago. It amazes me, the passion this develops in a CYCLING forum!
