I was going for a ride today and was in kind of a hurry since it looked like it was going to rain. I grabbed my helmet and rode off. About half way down the block I put the helmet on my head and continued riding (thinking I would strap the helmet on at the corner where I have to stop for a light). When I got to the corner there were a couple of other guys on their bikes waiting for the light to turn green. One guy turned around and noticed I was kind of struggling with the straps on my helmet (it felt funny but like I said, I was in a hurry). Then he uttered three words and three words only "It's on backwards." I was wearing my helmet backwards. I wish I would have just tipped over unable to get out of my pedals... Well it looks like I am going to have to sell the house and move because there is no way I ever want to see that guy agian. Please tell me someone can top this.... |

Oh man...... hahahahaha.... I'm just glad you stopped and someone told you. I did once have my spandex tear on a ride and reveal half my back side and leg...

Yesterday I was out on a ride with a friend of mine, and I failed to downshift before a stoplight at a busy intersection on my way out of town...right in front of the LBS. The light turned, I went to clip back in, and missed. Doesn't happen often, but I was trying to turn a big gear, and I couldn't get clipped in, so I just took a seat on the curb in front of traffic...and as I said, the LBS. I hope they didn't recognize me. Those store windows are HUGE. |

Haha, the spandex tear is pretty funny! I was mountain biking with a whole bunch of mates and we had just come out of some sick singletrack when we were dive-bombed by a magpie. The little bugger came down and hit me in the ear, following that, got its beak stuck in the back of my helmet. So there I am absolutly hooning along with this black and white mess tearing at the back of my neck. It must have scratched me in a certain place as all of a sudden, I found myself on the ground laying down(evidently, I had stacked). If that wasnt enough, the bird came back and continued to swoop! Meanwhile, all my mates had pulled over and were sitting on a fence laughing their heads off. In their opinion, it was piss funny and i can sorta see their view! So whos the bigger tool? The bird or the human dart board! |
