Hi everyone, I am new and I'm sure a lot of you are going to tell me not to get one, but I need to find out where I can get the plastic (or metal) ring that attaches to the front sprocket so pants don't get stuck or tatooed by the chain. I've been searching the net and most of what I have found is not the right thing. A lot of them are something that replaces one of the sprockets. I just want a bolt on ring for the 5 hole pattern sprockets. I have arthritis in my hands and, to be honest, I don't like dealing with the straps that you put on your leg to keep the clothes out. This also doesn't keep the grease off the pants. Like I said, I've looked online and couldn't find what I am looking for. I also tried my local shop with no luck. Please, if anyone knows where I can find a couple of these rings (one for my wife too), please let me know! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! Eric |

My bike is in the shop getting a tuneup but I thought it was Shimano. I am not a biker. I hardly ever ride because my knees are bad, but I like riding so I just deal with the pain if I really want to go riding. I have been searching the net for something that would work. Do you happen to know of a website that has them? I'm not exactly sure what they are called. I know it is NOT a bashguard. I have looked for chain guard, sprocket guard, chain ring, and all kinds of things with no real luck. I don't want to replace a sprocket with a bash guard because I need all the gears to get my fat butt up hills. I mainly ride streets so having high gears is nice when cruzing on flat ground or on declines. I would ride more often if I had this piece because I wouldn't be stuck only riding with shorts. I don't like wearing the strap. I have arthritis in almost every joint and my leg swells up some and then I have to stop and readjust the strap multiple times, which is too annoying and hard on my hands! Thank you for your help! Any links would greatly be appreciated! Eric Quote:
