[QUOTE=stilesiii]At one time in this country unions were formed to protect the workers for corporate activity and alleged abuses. Now, thanks to government "fixes", the pendulum has swung in the opposite directions, the corporations are now subjects of the union activities and abuses.[/quote Uh-huh. That must be it. Quote:

Let's see, I was in agreement with your prior post that the problems of the American auto industry are self inflicted wounds and was simply pointing out some of the other problems you had not addressed, particularly government taxes and regulations. I was pointing out that there are places in America where these problems exist to a lesser extent, and in those places foreign automakers have factories which produce the vehicles you describe as having "better value" and "service history." They are produced by American workers. They have a better value because the people who work at these factories have pride in their work and have not been conditioned by years of Union bullcrap that tells them that their job is an entitlement. I was making the point, that its not the "American worker" that has ruined things, but corporate, union and government policies. But thanks for your usual angry psycho man rant. |

Wow, Slick, you've got the hyperbole and exaggeration bit down, don't ya? Psycho man? Really? Angry? Clearly you're reading what ain't there. Exactly how is the cherished "American worker" exempt from any blame? Oh wait: they're not. Quote:
