Was Trek bought by Giant?

I don't believe this Craigslist post that say Trek was bought out by Giant, but I don't know if it's true or not. I checked Trek's website but found no info. Anyone know anything about this?

So where is Giant made then? China?

I haven't heard anything about a Trek acquisition but Trek's non OCLV frames have been built by Giant for some time now. Giant builds an awful lot of mid to high end bikes that end up carrying different labels by the time they hit the bike shops. Here's a good piece outlining where different bikes are made:

Giant build bikes for a lot of companies. I can't remember specifics, them building for trek would not surprise me.

Ain't it hard to believe that something untrue would be found on Craigslist?
