Is it at all possible for you to take your bike and gear with you to work ? If it is, I'm telling you route 127 and 127A around Glouster/Rockport/Manchester are the best I've ridden so far. Ride through some waterfront streets where the houses don't go below $2 mil and some nice 2-3% grades even. It's a beautiful ride

Don't I wish sometimes. That would be cool if I could do that one of these days. But, I wouldn't trust a construction site to leave my bike unattended on whilst I'm working, even with a good lock. Not to mention, places to change into my riding duds are few and far between.

I might attempt that in October during my next visit to the Witch City.

memorial area in houston is the rich neighborhood. rudy t (x- rockets head coach) and that type of money dwellings, i'd guess in the 10 mil range by now.

the death ride goes right through there.

I'll be working in Gloucester again on Monday. I thought about bringing the bike, but that's gonna be a no-can-do because I have to play Chauffeur to my 'village idiot' co-worker.

that's what tandem bikes are made for!

i know the feeling cyber, all i can think about all day long is riding all day long but work is just taking it out of me as in 10's and 12's straight and i gotta work this weekend too, tomorrow at least.

i'm an electrician btw so it's not easy office work, it's ladders and up and down with material and tools and in the heat and it can be brutal, like the ironman!

sunday sunday sunday, i hope.

I don't have to drive him up there, I just have to drive him back to the warehouse so he can retrieve his car. He's gonna be carpooling up there with one of the other guys.

Ain't that the truth, a lot of people don't realize that not everyone in this world works in a cushy office job where they go to the same place every day. Also, being the company's resident fire alarm system expert, I do a lot of the emergency service work so I can get called out of a construction site at any time during the day.

I hear ya on that ! I had a cushy office job once and didn't last very long . I can't go to work and stay in one place all day. I run 9 supermarkets for Polar Beverages so I'm constantly moving. Always leave the rack on my car, but wouldn't trust to leave my bike on it, even w/ a lock. Tues. and Sun. are long rides, and everything else is no more than 15 miles.
