Yea he's got his owm team. There's ten of them all in their 50+ 's and go all over the country (usually by train) and do mostly long multiple day events. I wouldn't say they are extreme hardcore racers but they race @ their own pace you know?

yup and that is pretty cool. you gotta get him on here, the older crowd knows what is what when it comes to riding.

i just rode to the convenience store for some coffee in my flip flops and in 53 x 13 with a 16.0 average ( i hit 21 top speed) there but i left the clock running for a bout four minutes after i just got back and so i screwed that one up. just at .97 miles. i rode back one handed with coffee in the other and believe it or not, that felt really good.

Looks like I'm gonna have to scrub the ride I was hoping to do today, typical New England weather.

Of course I might be able to sneak it in later on, we have a well-known saying about the weather here in New England....

Sounds like you've got a snippet of the New England weather syndrome...

Rained a bit earlier today, but then just stayed cloudy all day, low 70s for a temp. The sun actually poked through a few times between 4 & 6, whilst I was at the laundromat - GRRR....

Just got back from a quick evening 19 miler. Very nice, just wish I got out earlier but that's all I could do without going blind

i didn't take the camera phone but i got 20.70 in 1:08:13 rolling with an ending average of 18.2 with headwind outbound and then worse headwind back in, all the while in 53 x 14 and the added weight of three full bottles which i sipped on one at the 10 mile marker.

bottom bracket is clicking and getting loose, it really messed with my pedal stroke.
