noticed when riding my knee goes up to within an inch of the bottom of my arm on a cycle stroke is this normal or is my sizing off. this is when my arms are very slightly bent at the elbows and hands on the hoods any imput please...

On the hoods, that's not how it should be. You should see an LBS about a bike fit. Fitting can't be done on the internet.

do seek advice, make your bike as comfortable as you can for the type of riding you do
