Unhappy Canadian winter = indoor training (yuck)

Anybody have some innovative ideas to beat the yawn when training indoors?

Music, new music, inspirational music. Invest in some new music that makes you want to grow. Turn it up, dream, fantasize, sweat.

Offroad is not my thing, roadie born and bred. Just looking for innovative ideas while on the trainer.

It's not a bad idea if my budget allowed for it. Thanks

I usually watch the extreme channel, usually around 11 a.m. and watch a mountain bike show when I'm on the stationary bike. Nothing beats actually cycling outside but I might try mountainbiking in the snow this winter. I saw a few at morningside park where I run lasts winter so maybe its worth a try.

Hey! The trainer, yes... is rather boring. I find that when you watch television while watching it, time goes really slow. Reading though (Im in University, and have to read a ton) seems to make training indoors just fly by. Try it! Read some cycling books, or something. It's great. Try it out, you'll never know.
