Advise needed: Fuji Supreme Hybrid

Hello. I am new to this forum. Can anyone please give me some advise on buying a new mountain or hybrid bike. I don't want to spend more than $500 max. I was looking at a Fuji Supreme Hybrid alluminum frame bike with Shimano accessories for $350. Rode well and felt pretty good. Anyone know anything about this bike or can give me advise on a good hybrid bike for mostly NYC street use? And if anyone knows where I can actually go and pick it up in the NYC area? Check out the Kona Smoke, $350, great urban bike, and there's probably a dealer near you.

In that price range, it's not super easy to find a good bike worth buying, but it's not that hard either. I have a Fuji Sagres and am very happy with it, but I can't comment on the other Fuji bikes.

Thanks for the advise. I ended up with a Raleigh M50 Mountain Bike. I really like it a lot. I needed something more sturdy than a hybrid for NYC potholes. Thank you again.
