Default Schwinn Paramount Commments

Hey Forum.

As a favor, I recently bought a Schwinn Paramount Series 3, OS, PDG with Shimano RX100 series components and Arya rims.

My friend said it was purchased in the mid-late 90's new and only had a couple miles on it. It sure looks that way - mint.

This (and of course watching the tour) has gotten me interested in some rodie riding. I'm pretty hip to the MTB world but not well versed in road bikes so...

Does anyone have any comments on the value, quality and/or upgrade-ability of this particular bike?

Thanks in advance.

Leo

A made in Japan fake paramount. It's ok if you didn't pay too much.RX-100 is essentially 105 with a different finish, 8 speed and somewhat old school, but functional and usable. Ride it and gt your moneys worth out of it before you start throwing loot at 'upgrades'.

Thanks Boudreaux.

Any idea of it's worth if I want to sell and move up?
