Default 2003 Giant OCR3 headset conversion - possible?

Can I convert my 2003 Giant OCR3 1-inch integrated headset with a threaded fork to a 1-1/8 inch integrated headset with a threadless carbon fork?

As a brand option, if I use a Cane Creek headset....should I use the IS-6 or the ZS-6?

Ive been given the opportunity to get a 1-1/8 Time carbon fork and would really like to make this work on this bike.

Any opinions or advice are more than welcome please!

Mike

You've got a 1" threaded integrated HS.That'as a strange beast, but Giant says the threadless replacement is a Cane Creek ZS-2. You can only go to a 11/8" steerer of the headtube is big enough to accomodate the larger steerer and required HS.

Thats the only other thing left that Im concerned about, whether or not the headtube supports new HS like the ZS.

I noticed on the 2004 OCR's that the headtube is a little larger in appearance than my 2003.

Thanks for replying!

I changed my 03 OCR2 from 1"to 1 1/8" with a ZS-6. I would imagine the OCR3 is the same.

I have an 03 OCR2, and tried the ZS-6 conversion. The ZS-6 has a 45mm OD cup, and the headset has an 41mm ID. Didn't fit. How'd you do it? Very curious, and still would like to make a conversion.
