Smile My Kestrel Talon

My 2004 Kestrel Talon with Ultegra 9-speed arrived on Monday and I just finished assembling it. It is an awesome bicycle! I plan to put it through its paces on Saturday. I would appreciate knowing anyone's experience with this bike. Thanks!

None other than drooling over it a couple of times.

I have no experiences to share, but would like to know how it rides. I am considering that bike as my next toy.

Did I mention the colour - RED! I'll post my impressions this weekend.

I'm also getting a Talon, I test rode it last Sunday and loved it, there are a lot of rave reviews at roadbikeforums.com

I like your choice of Red, however, I'm getting the blue because the Bike before last was a Red Felt....oh, and I'm also getting the Ultegra version..

I'm looking forward to your review...I know you'll love it!!

OK, how was the ride?

I'm seriously close to purchasing a Talon SL - Ultegra Deluxe.

Let us know.

I apologize for taking so long to reply. I replaced the saddle and stem that came with the bike; also, I had a bit of difficulty switching-out the Time pedals that were on my TCR. I LOVE the Kestrel! It's quicker and more responsive than anything I've ever ridden. I read where folk have complained that carbon bikes have a "dead" feeling about them - I'm not sure what that means, but I can tell you that for me the Kestrel Talon rides like it looks - FANTASTIC! If any of you are thinking of getting this bike, get it; you won't be disappointed - it accelerates and climbs hills effortlessly and has a nice, solid feeling.
