Question Headset Overhaul

How often should a headset be overhauled?

Mine sounds a bit creaky when turn the front wheel from side to side.

Well, if you have the traditional loose ball bearings, open it up and make sure there is grease in there and the races are not pitted.

If you have a cartridge set up, all you can do is buy a new one.
