Default Are revx legal

Hi all

I just bought a pair of spinergy revx that I'm hoping to use for TT in the UK.

I know they're illegal for road racing, legal for triathlon, but I can't find any information on the legalities of racing them in a TT.

Any ideas?

.....also, anyone got some x beams for sale?....(I have put up a post in wanted - thought I'd add one here too)

In the US they are legal for TT's, not sure about the UK, although I think they would be.

They sure are legal UCI Rule 1.3.018

"For massed start road races and cyclo-cross eventsonly wheel designs
granted prior approval ..."

It says nothing about TT wheels.

I have a set of RevX's I'm needing to get rid of. They just make me feel uneasy (I probably weight too much for them). I'll probably do the "destroy and trade" deal through Spinergy.

They are legal, but they offer little aerodynamic advantage- well according to Mick Burrows, he of Lotus bike/compacts fame. In the UK we can get away with any wheel combo, except front discs obviously. The question is which is the right combo....

Rule or no rule, no one "gets away" with a front disc. See Figoun in '89 Tour de France.
