I have a pair of the 4000's and they're great. I ride on pretty rough surfaces (sealed) and there is little to no marks after almost 800 kms. Until this thread, I'd never heard of IRC...so I can't offer much in the way of comparison. the IRC tyre has 120 tpi (threads per inch) and the GP4000 has 110 tpi (though they claim this is the perfect balance between a supple feel and puncture protection. Here's a review of the GP4000 http://www.cyclingnews.com/tech.php?...005/news/08-15. I'd go with the Conti's. You can pick them up off the web for 50% of retail cost. I got mine from Parker-International. |
