2 way radios for riders, g-30 Midland recommended

I am looking to purchase 8-10 radios for a cycling team, it was mentioned to me that the g-30 Midland is used at the tour de France. Has anyone had any experience using any particular radio or has heard of any reports on other models. Cheers Terry.
