Default My newest baby - it's a girl!

I have been working with Randy Cunningham of Cunningham Cycles to get a new bike on the road, we worked through a whle lot of decisions and Randy set to building.

He emailed me some pictures built up, got them this morning.

There was delay getting in the seatpost of all things and the wheels I ordered are still not in.

The wheels on the bike in the picture are Randy's - I ordered the Reynolds Alta Race. First, I didn't feel like dropping about $2G for a set of wheels and second I really didn't want carbon wheels. Reynolds say they were shipped, they just haven't arrived here. First time ever with pre-built wheels so I hope I like them, down side to them they are only available in clincher - ahh well. I have lots of wheels so I can always ride tubulars if I want.

Randy tells me he weighed this, with pedals at 15 lbs 8 oz, I figure the wheel switch will add about half a pound - so call it 16 pounds. Never ridden a bike that light - should be fun ---- someday!

This bike is almost done, I ordered a Richard Sachs "Special" - a gorgeous red leather covered Regal saddle. It arrived yesterday, here. My bike is there. so imagine the pictures with a sexy red Regal on it.

My baby, colours of the "old" National Team Jersey.

Sadly, I am leaving for two weeks vacation this weekend and will no doubt be dreaming of my "almost" bike - I will phone before we get home and get him to ship it to try and make sure it's here when we get home - try and get a couple of days in before heading back to the salt mines.

Congratulations, that's a very cool ride you have there and I love the national colours - especially since I'm from the same country!!!!

The colours and scheme makes for a very unique bike, hope you enjoy it.

Beautiful! I can't wait for the day I can have a custom-built frameset made for me - I hope you get thousands of miles and dozens of race wins out of her!

Thank you very much to you both.

I intend to get many thousands of miles, but alas my racing days are long over. This is a "treat" to me.

BTW - where is Lake Stevens? I'm in the Okanagan Valley of BC, essentially straight north of Wenatchee.

Well, Wenatchee is on Hwy 2. Head West on Hwy 2 for about 100-120 miles (approx) and we're on the other side of the mountains - just off of Hwy 2.
