Hello people, I'm considering an one wheel trailer. And i'm also planning to buy an bike with an CroMo-carcass and an Rohloff-nave. So that's an expensive bike! I know an one-wheel trailer can quick up the wastage to the carcass and rear wheel. But how quick can that be? Is that wastage bigger than with 4 panniers? And does anybody know how big the torsion force can be, caused by the bike trailer? Greetz from Holland, Marco |

If you are buying a new bike with a Rohloff hub presumably it will be a higher quality than your last one which fell to peices on you. Rohloffs are bombproof. Match them up to 26" Velocity Dyads or DeepV's and you'll have a wheel that will last for a world tour. If the bike you are buying is mean't for touring and has eyelets for pannier racks, why not just fit Tubus racks and Ortleib bags? A proven combination that will go anywhere, is easy to carry and you'll never have to worry about wet gear. Cheers Geoff |

The night before my first tour I had 4 friends who had ridden from London to Sydney go through my things. They junked about half of it while making comments like "what the F*** are you taking this for?" I thought I had packed well too! My load was a lot lighter though by the time they had finished. Cheers Geoff |
