Hi, I'm sure a number of you can help me with these two questions... I'm interested in starting in cycling as a late 40s guy - a few races a year and 3 or 4 triathlons - and am 5'11". I've been sized to a 55cm Kestrel and a medium Giant frame, which I think would translate to a 54 or 56 Felt frame. I have a chance to purchase an unused 2005 Felt F55 for a great price, but it is a 60 size. So, could this be adjusted to fit me? And, what potential problems might I run into if I choose to ride it 50 to 60 miles at a time? Thanks for your answers! ME Runner |

It won't fit correctly. The downsides are: 1) You might not be able to get the saddle to bar drop that you want. 2) You might require a short stem, resulting in twitchy steering. 3) It will be a little heavier than a smaller frame. 4) You might rack your jewels with the higher standover height. 5) Larger frames typically have a slacker seat angle.
