I have a '06 Allez elite and just recently browsed the main website to see the '07 models. Was sort of surprised to see that the allez line of bikes were all downgraded as a whole. The '06 elite is basically an '07 comp. Full 105 and E5 frame. Just food for thought for somoene looking to buy an allez elite. Don't buy the '07s. haha. |

I'm on an '06 transition elite. It has the tubular ( w/ zertz stuff) seat post instead of the aero one . "specifications subject to change without notice " is there, but the '07 catalogue shows the aero, but are not on the bikes.Like the specs change twice a year every year ! Got a good deal on it though... |

There isn't as much money in Al road frames anymore. Specalized have a great range of carbon bikes though. So they cost reduced the less favoured bikes to push those shopping at the next level up will go carbon. The geometries have changed across thier range as well (as have Giants). taller head tubes in general and slacker seat angles in the larger sizes. Which all suits me much better! |
