retainer rings = really old Rev-X's. Bearings are R-8 cartridge bearings. There are cartridge bearing replacement tools - most shops will have some version of them (for other wheels or whatever). Just don't use the carbon part of the wheel to support the wheel when you tap out the bearings. freehub **IMPORTANT** the freehub is actually used to help true the wheel. Freehub bodies aren't quite round and neither are the hubs. So the freehub is aligned at the factory. If you must remove the freehub do not let it spin (tape it?). Also, mark where it lines up so you can put it back on in the exact same orientation as it was before you removed it. That's about it. Spinergy doesn't support the wheel anymore so you'll have to find a local guru if you need help with this. hope this helps cdr |
