Default brake levers won't fit on handlebars

Hi all

I'm trying to turn my Specialized crossroads sport into a touring bike. I bought butterfly handlebars so I could use my same stem, but now my bike and shift levers won't fit on the handlebars!!! Is there any way I can enlarge the clamps? If I have to get new levers, what size clamps do I need to get?

thanks
Maria

Probably need Flat Bar Road Levers with 22.2mm clamps.

ok, found some aero levers that will work. Now about the shifters. I've got a Suntour X-1 derailleur. What kind of shifter will work with that?
