Default 110 BCD Chainrings...

I'm trying to figure out what my options are for this.

I have a singlespeed drivetrain that uses the 'small chainring' position of a double-type crank. The ring is 110, who makes a decent chainring that I can put in there? I'm looking for something in the 48 to 52 range (50 would be ideal)...

I realize that I could get a new crank and solve the problem by getting one that uses a standard size chainring, but I'm not quite ready to make that leap yet. =)

Theres an online retailer who has a large selection of chainrings and knowledgeable help via e-mail. Biketoolsetc is the web address. I'd start there.

Actually, we may be both missing something. =)

I talked to the fixie expert at my local shop and he says that I should be fine switching to the big chainring position (that's what lunchtime rides are for, right?)... So I guess I just need to do that to get my bigger gearing.

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm no singlespeed/fixie guru, and thought I might have overstepped my knowledge base.

You should be able to use an outer chainring on the inner position if that is what makes your chainline perfect. Otherwise, use the outer chainring position and space your rear cog to maintain chainline.
