Question Chevy HHR Rear Rack Issues

I am looking for a hitch-mounted cargo RACK/TRAY that also allows for bicycles to be mounted to it. I did find one a good while ago and I cut and pasted the item into a word document. (If you would like to see what I am looking for I can send you the document as an attachment in a follow up e-mail.)

It was called the Outbacker Cargo Carrier and the 3 bike Rack for Outbacker Cargo Carrier. It was sold by http://www.discounttrailers.com/ and now on the page it was sold on it says that the item is UNAVAILABLE. That sounds pretty much a forever statement. I tried calling the number and the guy on the line sounded like George Carlin when he was doing his "I am high" routine. He was VERY slow to respond and I couldn't even prove the person had a heart rate, so I went away frustrated. GRRRR!

Regardless to say (lol) - after my inquiry, I STILL have no idea where to get this item.

My goal is to be able to have a useable cargo rack on the rear of my Chevy HHR (I have an 1-1/4" hitch) AND a 2 or 3 bicycle rack system that I can use simulatneously with the cargo rack.

If you know of a place where I can buy or have this made contact me! Thanks a lot.

Sincerely,

CJ Smith

Oldsmar, FL

THIS WAS THE WRITE-UP ON THE WEBPAGE:
The Outbacker hitch cargo carrier basket keeps your passengers comfortable without compromising vehicle space. This unique design from Putnam is made from sturdy steel and has a 500 lb carrying capacity. The cargo carrier mounts to your 2" receiver and has a spacious 20" x 60" cargo bed. Basket is 3.75" deep and has a steel mesh bottom. The distance from the middle of the receiver pin hole to edge of the basket carrier is 9". It is a great alternative to pulling a trailer.

The Outbacker also has a 3 bike carrier option. The 50023 - 3 bike rack mounts easily to the hitch cargo carrier basket. This is by far the most economical way to carry your gear and your bikes.

Features of Hitchin' Post Bike Rack:
  • Towable ball mount 2" & 1-1/4" available
  • Bikes load and unload easily
  • No straps required
  • Reflective safety label
  • Anti-sway, grip-tight top plate
  • Lockable top plate
  • Heavy duty steel construction
  • Exclusive polyshield finish
