I can't see a reason for custom bottles unless you just want to customize the appearance. There are so many different sizes and shapes of bottles out there that it should not be difficult at all to find one to your liking. And if you can't fins a bottle that you like, there are always camelback type hydration systems that you can get.
I think that unless you were going to order them by the tens of thousands, getting custom shaped bottles made would be extremely high priced because special molds would have to be engineered, drawn up, machined, and then set up for the bottle run. These costs would be spread over the number of bottles ordered, so the more bottles ordered, the lower the per bottle cost. Using conservative figures, a run of 10,000 pieces of a close to typical 1 lt custom bottle using a standard polyvinyl material and standard pull type nozzle would run between $15 - $20 US per unit. A run of 100 of the same bottle would cost $438+ US per unit. A single bottle of the example would be in the neighborhood of $2800 US. The example above is only to illustrate a point and should not be considered as a valid quotation of pricing for water bottles.
Special logos or colors on standard shaped bottles would be much less expensive, but there would still be additional costs that would apply.
