Watch out||| not US made bicycle. No genuine warranty
I am afraid this site : www.windsorbicycles.com is not a genuine company site. This site was set up by some individuals to sell their bikes for higher price. The bike is not US made, like they claim as WINDSOR AMERICA . The site's IP is: 198.173.232.162
Do a reverse IP lookup and you will find lot of information.

Do a google search on "Windsor Bicycles".

This is what I found:

I have a Columbus SL Windsor Profesional(I know they spelled it wrong) that I believe is from 1972, that's what the Nuovo Record der. is stamped. It is Molteni orange and has chromed spearhead lugs that have been drilled out. Does anyone know the history of Windsor bicycles, I heard that they were made in Mexico by some Italian? I think it's also wierd that it's Molteni orange, the Merckx color. I heard that on Merckx rode a Colnago with Windsor decals on his hour record in Mexico City in 1972. Can anyone verify any of this?

not US made
I know about Windsor bikes. I had a Windsor Pro made by Acer Mex S.A. in Mexico City in the early 70's. Acer-Mex was a large manufacturing company with several product lines. Biclyes, motor cycles, auto parts, tubing etc. They sponsored the Windsor Pro Team for publicity. The designer of the pro bike and the track bike (they made several other lower end models for children etc.) was Rameo Vecchi an Italian who was an engineer at Cinelli before being hired by Acer Mex.
Yes Merckx rode a Colnago with Windsor decals. I was there at the veladrome that day in Mexico City. I have photographs of the event and met
Merckx afterward.
The current Windsor I know nothing about except the fact that is not connected in any way to Acer - Mex. That comapny went out of business many years ago
Hang on to that bike, it's a classic.

Thanks, James, yes I intend to hang on to her (are bicycles female the same as cars?), if nothing else she is a talking point. (I've named her Lillith - which if you have watched the American series 'Frasier' will make sense.) All the information about the history of Windsors is fascinating, especially you being in Mexico City and meeting Merckx.
Thank you and kindest regards
Hamlet

Nice bike, the bars are cool. It must be a comfortable ride ! My wife likes to ride fast and in the racing position, she usually kicks my butt. Although I did put the cross brakes up by the stem that help brake in a more upright position for the leisurley rides.
Very cool these bike are pretty nice and affordable.
