Default Mavic Crossride vs American Classic terrain MTB

Which wheelset is more value for money?

I know Mavic crossride is cheaper than American classic but If American classic terrain has a big improvement over Mavic I don't mind paying more..

Improvement like acceleration , smoothtness.

Care to comment? Thanks

Default Re: Mavic Crossride vs American Classic terrain MTB

If it were me, I'd get a Mavic 717 rim, XT hub and ordinary 14/15 spokes. There's nothing like durability and on-track repairability.
You're not going to notice an acceleration or smoothness difference from one MTB wheel to another, even downhill vs XC wheels (the weight difference would have a few seconds effect on your times if you race).
