Kumho to make bike tires?

Read a brief article in an engineering trade magazine that Kumho is investing big money in setting up facilities in Korea to manufacture mid to high end mountainbike tires. The high end tires are supposed to be the lightest and strongest tires in the industry using carbon casings and high silica rubber. I cannot find any info about this on the net and was wondering if anyone heard about this?
