2005 Giant TCR C paint color

Anybody matched a 2005 TCR C "metallic red" paint?
I've called Giant and they don't know what it was. I also went to an auto repair shop and they said it would be a lot better if i could get a "color number"; they said its hard to match metallics without a manufacturer/number. I need to repaint (match) part of head tube and i don't want to repaint the whole frame.
Has anybody tried matching this factory color?
