Question upside down stem question?

I was wondering about this upside down stem issue? Seems like serious cyclists say you should remove your dork disk and your stem should be upside down.

On my old ride I had the stem right-side up and it was comfortable, on my new ride it's upside down and I notice I'm stretching more than I'd like. I flipped it back to "upright"...is this something that will come with time and/or flexability?

Better flexibility may come or not, or not as much as you'd hope. No matter what, all that matters with stem position, for you, is that the stem is in a position that allows you to ride comfortably. If you're not comfortable, something is wrong. Tell the judgemental sorts to piss off.

Your team coach of your pro team will tell you in what position your stem should be.
If you don't have a coach and are not on such a team, mount it as you like.

Define "serious cyclist". Go with comfort!
