I have been looking for a new HR/speedo for my bike. Has anybody ever used one or had a buddy with one? Likes? Dislikes..what ever...

Haven't really used or even ever seen it, but I checked, and it's a fairly expensive piece of equipment for what little it does. You can get a Garmin Edge 305 for almost the same price, and that'll give you a far more capable device, including GPS, recording your data for download to your computer, etc., etc.

As mentioned already, it's really limited in its functions, and for what it does it is pricey. You could easily get more function with less money if you bought a Cateye, Polar, Garmin,.....you get the point.

Stocked a few and had all but one come back for warranty. I'd stay away. Neat idea but as before, Mavic and 'electronic' doesn't really mix.

I have one. It works beautifully except... the function I bought it for: total ascent.
