Default Tight Clincher

I have a new pair of Zero wheels, Z38. A carbon aero rim 38 ml deep. These are to be my new race day wheel set. To complete the kit I purchased Veloflex tires, Black, 700 /22 weight 180gm and Vittoria EVO 55gm tubes. They are VERY tight to get on. I had to warm the tires slightly, and each one took about 30 min.to put on. A puncture on race day would be a disaster, race over. Will they stretch, get easier, is there a trick????
