Default Piarello old model info

Hi all,

I am after some info on my oldish steel Pinarello.

I have a Pinarello steel road bike I brought second hand,
and I can not find a model for it and can not find a serial
number on the frame. Can you help with where to look
or who to ask?

The Pinarello site has no "early" models listed.

The only name on it is under the b/b "Pinarello Trevisio-
Italy". The Columbus sticker reads "Columbus steel"
underneath "Fodri Lamiati" on a gold background with
white dove between Fodri and Lamiati.

The frame tube dia's are: top tube 1.005 ins, seat tube
1.155 ins, down tube 1.135 ins. and the wheel base is
39.125 ins. The rear brake cable runs through the top tube.
It has brazed on front gear mount. Mounts on down tube
for front rear gears. A pump lug on the back of the head tube.
All the tubes are lugged with "P" embossed in them.
It has chrome forks and chain stay.

Thank you in anticipation, DavidS

What is it you want to know? The model "name" IS Treviso, and I believe they made that model into the 90's. I'm no expert on Pinarello, though I have had 2 of them-an Angliru, and a Stelvio. So it is a Columbus steel lugged (I think) frame. I've seen quite a few of them on Ebay. There used to be a sort of historical Pinarello site, but I can't find it anymore. There was also a site with the history of columbus tubing, but when I looked just now I couldn't find it. All the steel Pinarello's I've ever seen had the P stamped into the top of the seat stays, and many had internal cabling. Sorry I couldn't be more help. good

Hello..I use to have a Pinarello in the late 1980s. I believe Trevisio is the model of your frame. Do you see a columbu sticker anywhere on the frame(check the downtube). Also I believe there is a chance that it is constructed out of Columbus SL tubing...brian

i'm having the same trouble as this guy. when i got mine it had already been repainted and new "pinarello" lettering added. the only thing that i felt for sure confirmed it a pinarello was the fact it had the initals stamped in the forks. seatstays, bb, etc. the guy labled it as a "treviso" but how can one tell for sure? also what kind of columbus tubing was used? thanks

Post a photo of the frame in question if possible, it would be helpful to identify the frame.
