Smart Polaris 7 Bike Light

This is a little embarassing but i recently bought a set of lights for my bike and have a Smart Polaris 7 front LED light but am incapable of opening it to insert batteries! Have removed the screw but nothing seems to pull apart.... The instructions are worse than useless (remove fastening screw, done, and remove lens unit,which seems impossible). Any help would be very much appreciated.
