My Campy Record front derailleur cage has developed some damage to the carbon part. Are these things composed of a thin layer of metal (looks like Ti) on the inside that is strengthened by a laminated layer of carbon on the outside? It looks like the carbon layer got chewed up when the chain came off and is starting to separate from the metal. Anyone else seen this happen? What did you do? Will the derailleur still work for a while? Thanks, |

Ok, thanks. I was planning for a long ride and was wondering if it was going to hold up. It looks like it will hang in there for a while longer. Will try to inquire about the warranty, too. |
