In the results I saw his name or a similar name wasn't present nor in road nor in TT results. Maybe he realised in time that some extra time in training wouldn't hurt.

I have run a 15 min flat 5km and would not even consider the olympics , I can't imagine the cost to ones life to get to the olympics in cycling. If you can do it and actually be there for the dance 'you the man' |

15 minutes - that's pretty good kiwiboy - maybe not international standard but you must do quite a bit of winning locally. |

I did ok there were however plenty of other good runners in the area I lived, I was a triathlete rather than a pure runner. On the same course my freinds Jamie Hunt and Hamish Carter both excellent in there field ran 14:27 and 14:35 on the same day. It was flat out. Compared to olympic runners we were well of the pace. In answer to your question yes on the odd ocassion when it all came together on the day my running saw some excellent results in my elite days. |

You mean you don't think Neil Armstrong would be a top class cyclist compared to our friend MD-CYCLIST? |

This post is so utterly and totally ridiculous that it is beyond words. The Olympics is about athletics and competition at the highest level. Its because of bozos like this that there should be some fair standards put in place. Otherwise, it becomes a free-for all and anybody from tiny countries with no cyclists can get in for free. Just like this guy. |

I know that you had way more replies to this question than you ever expected. You should think about your dedication. If you are serious, and I beleive you are. You should do the following. Check with your Olympic Commitee to find out the requirements to be selected to the team. Hire A coach. The coach will help you focus your training. There are many out there and there are many different prices. Shop around to find one that is copmpatible with your finances and personality. Many will work with you over the internet Be dedicated to your training. Race.
