OH MY GOD! What a loser! HAHA! Now we find out our friend Abdul has a website too where he is obviously trying to meet girls over the internet with claims of his athletic prowess and shirtless pictures of himself!! ![]() I didn't think it could get any better than this, but this thread is nine pages long and getting funnier by the minute! HAHAHAA! I mean, look at that picture of him flexing his arm muscles! And these quotes, "Thinking of going to the Olympics" HAHAHA! I mean, thinking?! I can see it now. Abdul sitting around watching TV, saying, "gee, I think I'm going to register for the Olympics." HAHHAA! Another quote, "Makes Me Sad : Being injured, not winning races." OH MY GOD! I can't stop laughing. This is TOO much! |

Found another site where he claims to be a "professional athlete". This must be more recent than his semi-pro claims. No doubt he's earning a living from athletics now and that's why he aint got time for posting?? See http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=hassan I also like the part about an Aerospace engineer. This guy is talented!! I noticed his post in another thread on this board... "I am originally from the Lebanon but I have been in London for about 8 years Now, I am a Former Athlete but I have just recently Moved to Cycling I am Hoping to represent Lebanon this Summer at the B World Championships and the Pan-Arab Games and I currently Average around 25 hours of Cycling 4 hours in the gym 2 hours on the track and 1 hour swimming a Week I am hoping to be in the Olympics in Athens and I am Hoping to Study for my JAR66 Aircraft Maintenance License in Bristol this September, Well I hope to hear from you all soon." His post in another message, when tricked by an April fool... "Another year and Another Beatting by The April Fools Bug Yes we Do have Aprils Fools In Lebanon and Hell yeah They have it also Hear in London And I absolutly Dread it as If you ask a Girl out On April Fools She Laughs in your face thinking you where joking with he but No I tried t explain I was for Real But she would not believe me Cuz its April Fools" ROFLMAO. I don't think anyone believes this guy :-) |

Sir, I ran several 5k's in the 17's, and had a few teammates in the low 16's.....not one of them was even close enough to be considered olympic quality...you need to be running 15's at least |

Hey Small, Brilliant quote. I just sold my almost new Chevy Tahoe and got myself a Colnago C40 and a 15 year old Nissan Patrol instead. I'm happier every day that passes. I'm with you on the Khadra disrespect track. However, I do understand him a bit. Many Tour de France winner have stated that cycling is the hardest sport in the world. Several of them have done other sports on a junior level before moving into cycling, and have understanding of the demands in various other sports. However, many other athletes don't fully comprehend the unrelentless levels of pain that you have to endure to race on even Cat 2 level. One must have respect for a childs immature behavior, because that child will one day grow up and feed off all the great answers to his sometimes bizarre questions while growing up. Keep'em clipped in and rolling along. Andy

Never bothered to read this thread as I knew the answer would be.. ALOT! but seeing 9 pages for comments I had a little look! 1 hour later I read the whole thing! But as I was reading it, it just got really funny and you guys scared him off! So I had no fun. But I think this guy is totaly amazing! I meanthis guy is a natural I was a great track runner at school but what this guy did I have never ever seen before! hes done: 5K of 14.50 35.46.12 10k at 17 75.40.34 Half Marathon at the Age of 17 Thats fast for that age!!! But this: 10.75 100m at the age of 16 22.3 200m So in one year difference he has done a 10.75 for a 100m and a 14.50 for 5km! Thats not possible! I dont think no one can do that! But he has, so I truely think he could have completed in the Olympics!!! |

>I clocked a 21.52 5K Time on Wensday but that is only after One > training session as I have just come Back from an injury and I > am sure I can Run a 5k in sub 17 Minutes with all the correct Unless you're (have been) able to do 5k within 15 minutes I don't think it even makes sence about competing in the Olympics in either running or cycling. |

I reckon he is for real. One reason people didn't give him much credit is because he hadn't been racing. If he's done some racing I'd like to encourage him to give us a progress report. Brian |

The question is what made khadra disappear from this thread? Let me guess that he did enter a local club race and trailed in knackered after everyone else had gone home. The refreshing dose of reality might have been too much for him. By the way, I don't believe that someone who had once run 5K in 14'50" would even mention a recent run of 22 minutes, as Khadra did. ============================================== I clocked a 21.52 5K Time on Wensday but that is only after One training session as I have just come Back from an injury and I am sure I can Run a 5k in sub 17 Minutes with all the correct training and My fitness Level Being 100 per cent =================================== Again, I would venture to guess that he has taken the credit for someone else's times. |

No doubt he will have retired from cycling and we should lookout for him in other sports. Running was a doddle for him, cycling a pushover, so what next? Triathlon? Marathon running? Le tour? He's just some wannabe desparately trying to gain the respect of others, but that aint gonna happen quickly. He'll only gain respect in a hard sport through hard work and results. |

I used to run alot and 5k in 17 minutes is good but really nothing special. Maybe you should try to go for another distance, maybe the 1500 metres instead, or even 800, where they have alot of "big" runners. |
