Default Sports drinks

What's the difference between using Gatorade, versus something like Leppin Sport Enduro Booster. Am I right in saying that the Gatorade will only replace what you sweat out etc, and the Enduro Booster will do that, but also provide carbohydrates for sustained energy?

I want a drink that is more than just sugar...

Try Cytomax, Accelerade, or Gatorade's Endurance.
Simple Gatorade tastes great (try the Fierce set), but if you really want to replenish your electrolytes, there are pills for that too..

Cytomax and Accelerade have protien wich makes them taste nasty (if you can get past the taste they may work for you).IMO there is no need for protien on the bike. Endurance Gatorade is junk also, lots of frutose. Hammer makes a good mix of no simple sugars and has Maldextrin for CHO.

Actually, according to http://www.personalbestnutrition.com...n/pbn/130.html (and the can on my shelf), Cytomax has 0g of protein per serving. Personally, I like the taste. Can't say the same for Accelerade which has 5g of protein per serving.

Firstly, there is strong evidence that some fructose is quite a good idea in your sports drink. Secondly, it seems that Endurance Gatorade doesn't contain any (except bonded to glucose as sucrose) - http://www.smartspot.com/1_smart_spo...&id=2140000005.
