Default Electronic muscle building device

Has anyone used those electro muscle building things? You know the ones where you attach a couple of pads to a few muscles. I used one a while back for an injury and together with excercies I noticed a big increase in the muscle around my knee.

I was given a lend of it from a physio who claimed that it worked cos it was a special version that cost over 1000 euro and that the cheaper ones (150 euro) that are available in shops are no use.

I have heard from other physios that none of them are any good but I did have a good experience with them and was thinking of buying one for myself.

What are peoples experences with these? Would a cheaper version work?

Default Re: Electronic muscle building device

These devices are used to treat muscular problems such as TMJ in the jaws, relax strains and have been for years.
If you don't increase blood flow, heart rate, oxygen intake etc. it is doing little or nothing, in my opinion.
