Default Ibuprofen before forum visits? Anyone?

I'm farily sensitive to profanity in print and so I sometimes take a couple of 100mg of ibuprofen before reading the Cycling Training forum, so as to prevent the stress-induced headaches I get from reading the nastiness.

A couple of weeks ago I had to take Tylenol 3s with Codeine before reading the "It's Killing me " thread.

jk Tony. I'm not a troll, just a frequent lurker who seldom makes time to post.

(I was thinking about it... I'll be using 200 mg capsules, though)

I like to take Ibuprofen to keep my pride from swelling to the point I post something and then invite the masses to argue with me.

I hope nobody gets into a "using suppository debate". I am not sure if I could handle reading it.

You're fairly inexpeienced in posting here, so better than taking Ibuprofen to dull the pain of the forum you should just pack a gun to deter the future threats to your manhood...By the way, by your own admission you may not be a troll, but you sure act like one...

Because I started a light-hearted thread about how sometimes things get carried away in this forum I'm a troll? Click on my name. I don't post a lot, but pretty much all cycling related, with this thread an exception.

If I was a troll, I would have started a thread about whether or not "NSAID rage" was an observed phenomenon.

FWIW, I do occasionally take "Vitamin I" after a tough race or workout, but I try not to make a habit of it.

I'm now going to read all of the other threads, searching for one to make a positive contribution too, lest the troll label sticks

Before you get your panties in a bunch, I said you ACT like a troll, not that you ARE a troll...there is a difference...and this is just me being light-hearted right back at ya'...

Chemically enhancing my natural ability to tolerate ridiculous behavior would give me an unfair advantage over my fellow posters, and I won't betray the trust of the entire internet posting community and damage the integrity of this honorable pastime in that way.

I wouldn't give up my record of 3,661 *clean* posts for anything.

Dunno about Ibuprofen....but I've been known to contribute the occassional 'pissed posting' late at night....that's as farkin hard as doing an ITT...I have the ability to write in foreign languages when pissed, mostly Arabic..(well I think that's what it is )....still the absolute master of 'pissed postings' is bbp...the stuff legends are made of (although I'm convinced he has a secretary that he dictates to! )

Are you sure that they're all clean. 3,661 posts may suggest that at somepoint you've been over the mandated limit for caffiene. Just becareful, your name name be linked to leading exercise physiologist Andy Coggan in the up coming "Blood for (coffee) beans" scandal...

I don't know about Ibuprofen but one look at my PowerCranks and my legs scream Vicoden.

Supps, pain killers, epo, roids...I love how cycling has turned into this extreme paronia about people who use anything from stuff as silly as gels being considered a supp...

Give me a break already...pretty soon it will be...

For me a just grab myself a hand full of dirt and mix some water in and I got all my nutrients for the day! Like real men do!

...and I like it that way!

Not to turn this joke thread into a serious discussion, but I don't see it as cycling paranoia. Rather I see it as a very, very fine (and somewhat arbitrary) line between "supplement" and "dope" which also exists in society as a whole, and that is the line is one of legality rather than anything inherent different between molecule X and molecule Y.
