I can't do that relaxing stuff when on the bike in the garage... Metallica - Master of Puppets Machine Head - VIM Pantera - Slaughtered Slayer - Raining Blood Machine Head - Blood for Blood Metallica - Blackened Lamb of God - Blood of the Scribe Fear Factory - HK Hunter Killer Pantera - Walk Metallica - Battery Machine Head - Clenching the fists of dissent Pantera - Strength beyond Strength Fear Factory - Demanufacture. As an added side note - Mr and Mrs Swampy get a shout out in Machine Head's latest CD liner notes, funnily enough as "Mr and Mrs Swampy" for being part of 'the mob' on the song "Clenching The Fists of Dissent" |

My more common playlists are quite a bit different than these. I find I need/like to go for house/euro/trance. Things like: This World is Watching Me - Armin Van Buuren Shocking Silence - Benny Benassi Tell Me Why - Supermode Odysee - Scarf! Sandstorm - Darude Kernkraft 400 (Sport Chant Stadium Remix) - Zombie Nation Who's Your Daddy? - Benny Benassi Russian Girls - Sasha Dith I could go on and on. Granted, I listen to a lot of classic rock in other modes, but if I'm looking to cause some pain the beat has to move. Things like the above motivate some great workouts for me. |

Vitamin - Incubus. Great chillin' out song. S.C.I.E.N.C.E. is a great album but sadly the band kinda acknowledged a few years ago that they're no long technically capable of playing most of the tracks live. S.O.D's Monkey's Rule and Kill the Assholes made a mystery apperance on the mp3 player. Not sure how... Maybe it just walked it self over to the PC. |

BBC World Service. Always something of interest .. and if not, something else will be along by the next interval. Can't handle hammering to music, but that's just me. Maybe it's because I'm a musician, so the whole work/recreation/pleasure/pain thing gets a bit mixed up. B |

Actually it's more of a "Video to Hurt Myself to..." "Run Lola Run" I watch this DVD when I can't get motivated for my 2x20s or 3x20s. The format of the movie is three different 20-minute variations of basically the same frantic race against the clock. The music is a sustained techno beat that fits well with the video (but is probably nothing special by itself.) The dialog is in German, but there isn't much of it, so it's not hard to follow even if most of your attention is on your interval. -- Bryan |
