Get it right people .............. He failed two separate first round tests, one from the Olympics and one from the Vuelta, a month apart. For the same thing. To get it wrong once, yeah that's possible, but two separate times a month apart?? Seems like a red flag to me .............. So they then run the "B" tests, which has come up positive from the UCI for the Vuelta, but the Olympics one supposedly will come up negative per Phonak. It is an uphill battle for Hamilton to prove them wrong. But if he wants to salvage his career, he will need to do it.

It makes no sense. He MUST know how stringent the olympic tests are. Very high probability of getting caught. Why would he risk it? It makes no sense. Could the tests somehow be wrong? Could someone else have deliberately tainted them? It's too weird. |

The Olympic B test was inconclusive because some lab tech froze the sample - which is OK for a urine sample, but it destroys a blood cell sample. So, they couldn't conduct a proper test. Not the result that Tyler was hoping for I'm sure (he would have wanted a firm negative), but the IOC has dropped the case and he keeps the gold. |

I know the difference is lance's 6 Tour de France's to hamilton's 0. Lance's huge fame compared to hamilton's cycling only fame. But how is it that Lance never tests positive (ok there was that 1 time) and there is a 30 page discussion on whether or not he's doping. But here tyler pops three positives within a month and there are 12 replies. I know there are other threads on it, but they are similarly sparse. Is it just the difference in fame? |
