I do "regular" cycling but also 75 mins a day of stationary cycling daily, too. I dont get numb toes during outdoor cycling, but I do with the stationary bike. What I found helps is, make sure your shoes are loose if they lace up (sneakers, etc). Make sure there is room to wiggle your toes while riding without having to stop, a pair if wide width helps for this with me.

Has anyone else tried elastic laces? My shoeshop recomended them for my bike and running shoes. They do allow a little more foot flex than normal laces. (Shimano SH-M038)

I have what are called "nuromas" in my feet, which cause two of my toes in eah foot to fall asleep. The nerves are being pinched, and my podiatrist reccommended metatarsil pads (specialized has an insert with this pad built in). This spreads the metatarsils apart, relieving the pressure on your nerves. I still have problems but my feet aren't right |
